Meet Our Leadership


Katie Scott Watson

Event Chair

Hailing from Alexander City, AL, and an Auburn University alumna, Katie brings a wealth of event planning expertise to her role as event chair. As a dedicated Columbus resident for 13 years, she balances her roles as wife to Zack and stay-at-home mom to their four children: Wyatt (17), AC (12), Ryder (4), and Millie Kate (9m). Katie is a passionate volunteer, serving organizations like the Junior League of Columbus and the Muscogee County Library Foundation. With a proven track record, including serving as the 2015 Silent Auction Chair for the American Cancer Society Crystal Ball, Katie’s leadership ensures Shuck Cancer will be a resounding success.

Dr. Brooke Sullivan

Event Chair Emerita

Brooke is a Columbus native with extensive healthcare experience and has made a significant impact on our community. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital and has received accolades such as Alumna of the Year for the College of Health Science at Columbus State University, recognition as one of the “5 Most Influential Professionals under 40” in Columbus, and inclusion in the “40 Most Influential Georgians Under 40” by Georgia Trend Magazine. As the event chair for the inaugural 2023 American Cancer Society Gold Together Gala, she spearheaded fundraising efforts, raising over $118,000 for childhood cancer research and programs. Her dedication to service extends to her personal life, where she balances her career with her role as a wife to Scott and mother to Price (13), Delaney (10), and Whitfield (2).

By funding the mission of Atlanta Hope Lodge, you have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of Muscogee County patients and their caregivers. Your support enables us to maintain our facility and continue offering a home away from home for those in need at a cost savings of $188/night per patient. Your company will receive recognition during the Shuck Cancer event when we reveal the total funded mission for Atlanta Hope Lodge.
